Did you know that walking is good for you? I am sure you have heard that before…but do you really know why?
It’s more than just the lose weight kind of good for you. Walking actually benefits so many aspects of your health and wellness, mentally, physically, and yes, even emotionally.
Walking can help you:
- Lose weight and have a healthy heart
- Increase self-esteem
- Increase metabolism and reduce risk of high blood pressure
- Decrease chance of injury
- Tone muscles and strengthen bones and joints
- Reduce stress, improve mood, and increase energy
- It’s low impact making it a great option for most people
I know it’s not always easy to talk yourself into going for a walk, but it is ALWAYS worth it. The hardest part is finding the motivation and convincing yourself to go.
As the weather gets warmer, I challenge you to go out for a walk. Grab a friend or go alone. Head to the streets, the parks, the mountains, the beach. Wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, make going for a walk a priority and reap the benefits!
